1. Introduction
Welcome to Chamu Pages. We are Chamu Pages, the team behind this website. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you visit this website. We believe in data minimalism — we only collect what is necessary to do our work.
For data protection purposes, we act as the “Data Controller” of your personal data. Personal Data refers to info identifying you (e.g., name/email).
2. The Data We Collect
Personal Information
We only collect information that you voluntarily provide through our contact form or email. This may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your project details or message content
We do not collect sensitive personal data.
Technical Data
When you visit this website, certain technical information may be automatically processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare), such as:
- IP address
- Browser type
- Device information
- Basic request logs
This information is used solely for security purposes (such as DDoS protection and preventing malicious activity). We do not use this data to personally track you.
Our services are not for children under 16; we don't knowingly collect their data.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on:
- Your consent (when you submit the contact form or email), or
- To fulfill our contract (project delivery).
If you are located in the European Union (EU), this also aligns with our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries and providing requested services.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your information solely to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes
- Deliver requested web development services
- Send invoices or service agreements
- Comply with legal or tax obligations
We may share necessary information with authorized team members, contractors, or sales partners strictly for the purpose of communicating with you and delivering your project.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data for marketing purposes. We do not operate mailing lists or advertising campaigns.
5. Third-Party Services
To operate this website efficiently, we use trusted third-party services:
- Cloudflare (Hosting & Analytics): Our site is hosted on Cloudflare's global edge network. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which provides anonymized performance insights. This tool is privacy-first: it does not use cookies and does not track your IP for profiling.
- Web3Forms (Contact Forms): Simple contact messages are securely processed by Web3Forms.
- Tally.so (Project Intake): If you fill out a project brief, we use Tally.so, a GDPR-compliant form builder that encrypts responses.
- Payment Processors: We use secure third-party payment gateways (e.g., Wise, Payoneer, or Stripe) to process invoices. We do not store your credit card or bank details on our servers.
These providers may store data on servers outside your country. For international transfers, we rely on providers' compliance (Processing Addendums).
6. Cookies and Tracking
We believe in a clean web. We do not use invasive tracking technologies.
- We do not use Google Analytics.
- We do not use Facebook Pixel or advertising trackers.
Our analytics (Cloudflare) are 100% cookie-free. This website only uses essential technical cookies required for security (e.g., bot protection).
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to complete our project, maintain business records, or comply with legal obligations. Once no longer required, your data will be securely deleted.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption (SSL) and secure hosting infrastructure. While no system is absolute, we take appropriate steps to protect your data.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
If you are in the EU, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Updates & Contact
We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted here with an updated date.
