Service Agreement
Last Updated: February 18, 2026
1. Parties & Scope
This Agreement is between Chamu ("Developer") and the Client ("You"). The Developer provides web development services using a modern static stack (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Exclusions: Services do not include domain registration, hosting fees, or copywriting unless specifically itemized in the Proposal.
2. Payment Terms
- 50% Deposit: Required to secure a start date. Work commences after receipt. Non-refundable.
- 50% Balance: Due upon completion, before final file transfer or deployment.
- Late Fees: 5% per month for invoices unpaid after 7 days.
3. Responsibilities & Process
Client: Must provide assets (text, logos, logins) within 10 days and feedback within 3 business days. Delays may extend the timeline.
Revisions: Includes one round of design revisions and two rounds of minor development tweaks. Scope creep will be billed at standard hourly rates.
4. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, the Client owns the final project code. The Developer retains the right to use the project in their portfolio and maintains ownership of generic reusable code snippets.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable as they reserve specific calendar time. If the Client cancels after work starts, the deposit is retained and the final balance is waived. Projects with no communication for 30 days are considered abandoned.
6. Warranty & Liability
Websites are provided "as is." The Developer is not liable for issues caused by third-party hosting or browser updates. Total liability is limited to the fees paid by the Client.
7. Support
I provide 30 days of complimentary support to fix bugs post-launch. Subsequent updates are available via a retainer or hourly billing ($50/hr).
8. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Developer's principal place of business.
